Burnt Mill School

Burnt mill gifBurnt Mill SchoolAbout the school
Burnt Mill School, a DfES Designated Specialist Arts College, is a community comprehensive school for 11-16 –year-olds, serving the town of Harlow, West Essex. We are a caring community where learning counts and people matter, and are characterised by a dedicated governing body, well qualified staff, excellent educational opportunities, impressive levels of achievement and a commitment to high standards of behaviour. However, our real strength lies in our partnerships rather than our isolation.
We are a member of the Harlow Education Consortium, which is a professional partnership of 45 learning providers, working in the four main areas of state education - primary, secondary, special and tertiary or further education. In working closely together and with our local community, we are committed to providing the highest possible quality of teaching and learning, not only for our students at Burnt Mill, but for around 20,000 learners in the Harlow community.
