Creative Partnerships

Creative Partnerships is the Government's flagship creative learning
programme, designed to develop the skills of young people across
England, raising their aspirations and achievements, and opening up
more opportunities for their futures. This world-leading programme is
transforming teaching and learning across the curriculum.
Creative Partnerships, Thames Gateway has been working in the
Basildon and Thurrock areas for the past three years on projects
ranging from exploring the outdoor space as a learning environment
to bringing dance into the curriculum across all subjects, from creating
new playgrounds inspired by children’s ideas to asking and
researching the question ‘What’s School For?’

From April 2008, Creative Partnerships is changing and expanding.
Thames Gateway will be able to offer more schools across South East
Essex the opportunity to work with talented and committed
professional artists to animate the curriculum and put creativity at the
heart of their activities.
