I am a fine artist and sculptor with a strong interest in the art of visual communication. My own work is a mixture of figurative painting and visual representations combined to tell a story. Many of my commissions are also concerned with translating other people’s ideas in a visual way that includes a sense of myself. My creative experience is very varied across different areas, but the common thread is always visual communication.

I express my art through many different media, the main one being film.
I have worked on many major films including ‘Star Wars – The Phantom Menace’, ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ and, more recently, ‘Stardust’. I very much enjoy the collaborative experience and the journey from taking the printed words of a script to creating a whole new visual world. I really enjoy mixing my working practices and I love having the opportunity to work with children, who always seem to bring a fresh, enthusiastic and dynamic approach to their artwork.

I have worked in paint as well as 3D materials, from man-made (such as polystyrene) to the organic (such as clay and willow).
I see my work as an artist as an ever-evolving journey. Having had a strong background in film and theatre, my work consistently runs with these themes.
