It was only after returning to full-time study at Camber College of Arts as a mature student that I truly valued the meaning of lifelong learning and the beauty of creative practice.
My primary focus is working with community groups and schools, using a variety of creative processes to explore all areas of the school curriculum as well as topic-based subjects.
I have worked with children and young people whose ages range from 6-19 years. Since 2004 I have been fortunate enough to work with Creative Partnerships who promote creative practice for all involved, and who have provided CPD opportunities relevant to each project that I have worked on.
This has enhanced my own practice, which continues to flourish through the diversity of partnerships and shared learning with the teachers, artists and young people I have
the pleasure to work with. In recent years my practice has grown to incorporate performance using tradition African drumming, which has proved to be an ideal situation for parents and
children to learn together.
