Siobhan O’Neill |
Creative Practitioner |
Siobhan O’Neill creates multi-art performances and installations that focus upon making the private public through the transformation of personal experiences, stories and sites.
Her work includes creating a pseudo-archaeological site by devising a new ‘ancient’ civilization with school children and burying their artefacts within a circular earthwork.
The artefacts were subsequently ‘excavated’. A project at the Royal Opera House marryied the marginalised to the elite when a group of ex-offenders created a curious performative commentary on life.
Over the past 4 years Siobhan has worked extensively with Creative Partnerships, exploring the creative learning agenda within schools. Her experience have informed her recent consultancy work with arts organisations on how to make creative learning central to organisational development and evaluation processes.
Siobhan worked in Camps Hill primary school, her objective being to inspire the children’s writing and involvement in The Big Write. The sessions focused on exploring the five senses.
