Woolenwick Junior School

Woolenwick Junior School was opened in 1974 and has 240 children in 8 classes. We have nine full-time teachers including the Headteacher and one part-time teacher. A team of experienced Teaching Assistants supports them. There are two mixed-ability classes per year group. Both classes work closely with each other and, where possible, are near each other in the building. We take a pride in the appearance and organisation of our classrooms. Our aim is that the rooms themselves should reflect, reward and stimulate learning with good quality displays, clear labelling and easy access to the tools of learning.
Outside the school there are, in addition to the playing field, two playgrounds, a small seating area and a range of woodland, hedgerow and wetland for environmental studies.
